Privacy Policy

This website, runicbyte.com, is operated by RunicByte OÜ, Meistri tn 6, 13517 Tallinn, Estonia (“RunicByte”, “we”). This policy explains what personal data the site handles and why. It is short because the site does very little.
What the site collects
Nothing by default. The site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site itself; no third party is contacted just by reading a page.
When you use the contact form we receive what you type: your name, email address, optional company name, and your message. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a script, is submitting it; Turnstile processes your IP address and browser signals for that purpose under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We also record the country and IP address the message came from, to filter abuse.
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes connection data (IP address, request headers) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and keeps short-lived logs for that purpose.
Why we process it
Contact form data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, where your enquiry leads to a contract, to take steps at your request before entering into it (Article 6(1)(b)).
Where it goes
Your message is delivered by email to our mailbox at info@runicbyte.com, hosted by our email provider in the EU. It is not shared with anyone else and is never sold. We do not use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for up to two years afterwards, in case the conversation resumes. If we work together, the correspondence becomes part of the project record and is kept for the duration of the relationship and the statutory retention period that follows.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or ask for a copy. Write to info@runicbyte.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Estonia that is the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantive changes will be noted here.
